Paint Correction

Restore Gloss & Clarity To Paint

What is Paint Correction?

The goal of paint correction is to remove as many surface imperfections as possible in your paint.

These imperfections may include scratches, swirls, marring, bird poo etching, hazing and bore water staining.

By permanently removing them we can restore depth, gloss and clarity to the paint.

Once the vehicle is looking its best again, we apply a wax, sealant or Ceramic Coating to shield your car from the harsh Perth elements and rigors of use.

Polishing FAQs

Do you come to me for this service?

Yes! We have a mobile detailing unit with all tools and products required, we just need access to electricity, water and a garage or sheltered space for this service. You can also drop your vehicle off at our secure and private Baldivis home studio and collect later.

We offer mobile polishing to Baldivis, Rockingham, Mandurah, Fremantle, Cockburn, Canningvale & more.

Will every single scratch be removed?

Probably not, but again it depends on the paint's condition. The Stage 1 Paint Polish service will remove most light scratches and imperfections, while a Stage 2 Paint Correction aims to remove 80%-90% of defects.

Can you just do a quick polish?

We choose not to offer a cheap or quick polishing service. This is because doing so would jeopardize the quality of the results and ultimately would not please our customers.

By choosing to do it right the first time, you get a long lasting professional result for your car that you won't regret.

Cheap polishing usually results in short-term shine, scratches only being hidden rather than removed and potentially even damage to your vehicle due to being in a rush..

Can buffing damage my paint?

If done correctly, then no. Polishing or "buffing" can be dangerous depending on the type of machine used and the experience of the operator. We are highly experienced and capable of restoring paintwork without "burning through" clear coat or leaving "ghost trails".

We also predominantly use DA (Dual Action) machines which are incredibly safe to use on paint without fear of damage.

Will polishing fix faded paint?

Depending on how faded and how old the vehicle is, polishing may remove faded clear coat/paint to reveal gloss. It depends on the integrity of the clear coat, how much is left and the colour of the vehicle.

In most cases a Stage 2 Paint Correction is needed to completely remove fade and refine paint to a high gloss again.

How long does a polish last?

Thankfully, polishing is not necessarily a maintenance task. After a polish or paint correction it is essential that proper care is taken to look after the car, so as not to introduce scratches again.

We highly recommend having a Ceramic Coating installed after polishing and paint correction, especially in Perth due to harsh weather. This protection, combined with proper car care will keep your car looking its best for years to come.

Does Polishing Remove Clear Coat?

Yes, but not much. We will measure the vehicle's paint with a depth gauge to determine if there is enough clear coat to work with.

In rare cases we will not advise polishing, however most cars will have no problem undergoing polishing or paint correction so long as proper professional methods are followed.
